A unique collection of taxidermy, pictures and paintings from the late Christopher Marler, farmer and aviculturist.
The catalogue for this sale is now available to view here. The event is being held in conjunction with Fabian R Eagle auctioneers.
Christopher’s vast collection of taxidermy items include flamingos, pelicans, cranes, a wide variety of ducks, geese and bald eagle as well as red deer trophy heads, antelope and bison heads.
The paintings and prints are all wildfowl or animals, the artists include Sir Peter Scott, Philip Rickman, Trevor Boyer, Robert Bateman, Richard Robjent, Carl Donner, Diane Rosher, Carolyn Alexander, Archibald Thorburn and Hilary Burn. In addition there are also a considerable number of photographs that were taken by Christopher on his trips around the world which will be sold in suitable lots.
